www.kraftwerk.shop ist live¶
A major step forward¶
The last nine months were intense. Not in stages, not in parts — continuously. We didn’t just “revise” our shop; we rebuilt it from the ground up. A project that is barely visible in its depth, but moved a lot.
Why it was necessary¶
Over the years, the old shop had accumulated a lot of historical baggage: scripts, workflows, data structures, image paths, translation logic, external tools. A system that worked for a long time — until our provider changed their platform at the end of 2025.
From that point on, it was clear: A lot of what used to work suddenly didn’t work at all. And patchwork was not an option.
What we built in 9 months¶
To make clear how big this rebuild was, here are the hard numbers:
- 150 articles completely rewritten, structured, and technically cleaned
- 250 new photos, many of them elaborate set productions
- 6 languages, fully integrated
- 9 months of continuous execution
- 4 companies working in parallel
- 1 complete shop generation left behind
- 1 new service center that makes all documents centrally available
- 1 optimized shipping process, now handled by Fechtner
This was not an update. This was foundational work.
What is better now¶
We created a system that:
- reacts faster
- is structured more clearly
- works cleanly internationally
- delivers high-quality product data
- and is technically stable enough to build on further
An important element: The new service center, which finally bundles all documents centrally. No more scattered PDFs, no more old versions, no more searching.
And another decisive step:
Shipping is now handled by Fechtner Modellbau.
Everyone focuses on their strengths. That means:
- KraftwerK develops innovative products
- Fechtner handles shipping cleanly and reliably
Everyone does what they do best — and you can tell.
And last but not least: There is new content. We developed several new sets and products and made them available directly in the new shop.
What comes next¶
The rebuild was only the first step. The next milestones are already in progress:
-
Full integration of a ticket system Every message should arrive. Nothing may be left behind. Whether email, shop contact, messenger, or social media — everything lands centrally.
-
Focus on customer satisfaction Our standards are high. That’s why our systems are powerful — and sometimes feel complex at first glance. In execution, we sometimes lag behind these standards, but we are working consistently to close that gap. The RS1 and ControlPanel are now running stably — and that is what we are building on.
Conclusion¶
It was a huge effort. But a necessary one. And one that now allows us to do what really matters:
Support customers better — with stable systems, clear structures, and shipping that works reliably.
Welcome to the new kraftwerk.shop — and the next development stage of our service center.
